Benchrest

 

The rules below are for shooting at sanctioned United States Air Rifle Benchrest matches.

Rifle Classes:

There are two (2) rifle classes, Light Varmint and Heavy Varmint, outlined in the wrabf.com rule book.

These rifle classes and our new additions will cover the vast majority of air rifles from 10 meter match rifles to high power air rifles.

USA Production Class

.177, .20 and .22 calibers are allowed.
Any unregulated rifle with factory stock, barrel and trigger and not to exceed $700.00 MSRP, including scope and scope rings.
Only adjustments made by the owner that involves deleting factory components, not the addition of any factory or custom component.
All power plants are allowed, springer, SSP, MSP, CO2 and PCP.
Any power level is allowed.
Any weight rifle is allowed.
Shooting will be off bags or a mechanical rest where the adjustment knobs are not used during the course of fire.
International scoring rules will apply.
Target distance will be 25 meters.

USA Sporter Class

.177, .20, .22 and .25 calibers are allowed.
Any rifle with factory stock meeting the rules, barrel and trigger.
Fore end of stock must be 2.25 inches wide or less and not flat along the bottom.
Any modifications to factory components are allowed.
All power plants are allowed, springer, SSP, MSP, CO2 and PCP.
Any power level is allowed.
Any weight rifle is allowed.
Scope is limited to 24X, variables must be set and not changed during the course of fire.
Shooting will be off bags, a bi-pod or a mechanical rest where the adjustment knobs are not used during the course of fire.
International scoring rules will apply.
Target distance will be at the match director’s discretion.

USA Open Class

.177, .20 and .22 calibers are allowed.
Up to a maximum of 35 FPE.
Up to a maximum of 20 pounds.
International scoring rules will apply.
Target distance will be 25 meters or 50 yards, at the discretion of the match director.
One piece rests are allowed.

USA Unlimited Class

All calibers are allowed.
Any power level is allowed.
Any weight rifle is allowed.
International scoring rules will apply.
Target distance will be 25 meters or 50 yards, at the discretion of the match director.
One piece rests are allowed.
Tethered tanks are NOT allowed.

The use of slugs or other custom lead projectiles is at the discretion of the match director.
