Rifle Teams must consist of at least four members and the top four scores will be averaged. Each of the standard AAFTA divisions must be represented on the team (in other words, there must be at least one, Hunter, WFTF, and Open shooter).
In the event of a tie for first place between one or more teams, each team will select one of its members to participate in a shoot off.
Teams may be comprised of any combination of shooters based on club, state, geographic region, corporate sponsor (Pyramid, AOA, etc.) and so on. A team member may only be on one team.
Team Registration is included in the rifle match registration and each person on the winning team will receive a Nationals Championship Trophy or plaque.
A team name should be selected and the Team Captain will be the contact person. The Team Captain need not wait until the team members register for the rifle match before setting up the team. The Team Captain should confirm with team members they will be going to nationals and is responsible for ensuring that they have at least four participating shooters at the rifle match and that the team members are not on more than one team.
